In the Wild West of the late 1800s, Julie Ridgeway’s great-grandfather settled in the area that is now referred to as Stockett, Montana during the coal mining rush. He juggled farming with raising a bustling brood of 12 children. During the prohibition, her great-grandpa’s son (her grandpa) and his brothers were caught selling moonshine and were sent to jail. A woman known as a local loan shark offered to bail him out in return for managing a ranch for 3 years and then taking ownership. This original homestead borders Julie’s ranch today. The original rock house has now been converted to a greenhouse. Julie is the 4th generation to live on the ranch and proudly raised her children in the same home she grew up in.

After spending nearly her entire career in the financial sector, Julie yearned for a change. She sought to break free from the confines of an office and immerse herself in Montana’s expansive landscapes. Transitioning from roles in agricultural banking, business banking, and the Farm Service Agency, Julie now applies her wealth of experience and network to a new career in real estate. This shift allows her to uphold established relationships and remain involved in Montana’s agricultural sector. Julie’s Business Management degree equips her with a distinctive perspective and insight that she now brings to the team at Corder and Associates.

Julie finds inspiration in two things every day: spending time with her family and exploring the stunning Montana mountains with her Catahoula Leopard Dogs, which she trains for tracking wounded big game. Her ideal adventure involves backpacking and camping on mountaintops. She enjoys hiking, archery hunting, and the peaceful solitude of the great outdoors. The liberating feeling of feeding her chickens in muck boots and shorts, with no neighbors for miles around, is incomparable. It’s what makes Montana so special.

Julie’s goal is to assist others in realizing their aspirations. She sees it as an honor to introduce her clients to the beauty and opportunities within this incredible state. Whether it’s farm and ranch, recreational, or residential properties, Julie is the one who can make your dreams a reality!
