Megan Merritt has never been the kind of person who waits for the right circumstances — she creates them.

Growing up near Great Falls, Megan moved frequently as a kid, putting down roots in Vaughn, Choteau, and Power before eventually finding her way to Fort Benton in 2021. What started as a move to be closer to her partner turned into something she didn’t expect: a place that finally felt like home. The wide river, the quiet streets, the people — Fort Benton has a way of doing that to you, and Megan isn’t going anywhere.

She completed her high school education online while simultaneously working as a Certified Nursing Assistant — a detail that tells you everything you need to know about who she is. She didn’t choose between responsibility and ambition. She handled both.

That same drive is what brought her to real estate. Megan knew she was capable of building something bigger than a 9-to-5 would ever allow, and she was willing to bet on herself to do it. But the decision wasn’t purely personal — it rarely is for people wired the way she is. Megan genuinely wants to be the person in the room who helps others make confident, informed decisions about land and property. She understands that real estate isn’t just a transaction. It’s a lifestyle. It’s a future. It’s a feeling — and she knows how to sell all three.

What sets Megan apart is her instinct. She’s observant in the way that matters most in this business: she notices when something is off, and she doesn’t let it go until it’s right. When she’s not working, Megan is happiest outdoors — hiking, fishing, reading somewhere quiet, or spending time with her animals, her family, and her people. Montana’s scenery, its stillness, and its sense of community are things she doesn’t take for granted. She’s curious, committed, and has no interest in ever giving up.
